Llandrindod Wells County War Memorial Hospital

Temple St, Llandrindod Wells LD1 5HF, UK – 01597 822951

The staff at this hospital from reception onwards exemplify caring nature in action. Today they went the extra mile for me, when they're all already running a marathon. It did help so much and probably avoided a lot of extra paperwork and travelling further down the line. Many many thanks for being so caring, flexible, proactive and efficient. Local hospitals worth so much more than the sum of their parts. Well done.

The Hospital is a fine example of what hospitals USED to be like in the good days where you are not looked upon as a "unit" but as a human being , maybe a bit scared wondering what itwas going to like and would it hurt ! The atmosphere is one of CARE and the ethos is friendly as soon as you walk through the door The Hospital is HOSPITABLE It has not lost its soul My wife has just had cataract surgery and we both felt cared for The nursing staff in Elan ward made us feel relaxed and kept us up to speed Well done Ladies and Gents What a difference it is to some places of healing which by their size seem cold hyper business like Long may this great Hospital continue to give first class service please dont lose you ethos best wishes Pat and Geoff Buckley

Ddole Road Veterinary Clinic

5a, Ddole Enterprise Park, Ddole Rd Enterprise Park, Llandrindod Wells LD1 6DF, UK – 01597 822044

The vets at Ddole Road are wonderful. Last year our dog Milo needed his tail removing due to a cancerous growth. He is getting on a bit & was so anxious & terribly vocal about every visit. The vets Alice & Jane were brilliant with him. Thank you so much ladies for caring for my old boy in such an amazing way:)

Fantastic Veterinary practice, always very helpful, they go that extra mile. It is very reassuring just to know they are there whenever you need them

Russell, Baldwin & Bright - Llandrindod Wells Branch

Commerce House, Station Cres, Llandrindod Wells LD1 5BD, UK – 01597 822245

I found the staff at Russell Baldwin & Bright in Llandrindod Wells extremely reliable and attentive. I was looking to purchase a property earlier this year and nearly all my dealings were with Mrs Alison Thomas who was scrupulous over keeping me informed about all negotiations by letter. She was particularly good at matching the client to the right property. This is so important when you are house-hunting as you can waste an awful lot of time and money driving long distances to view properties that are obviously not what you are looking for - and there are a lot of estate agents out there who try to push you into buying the wrong property. I felt in safe hands with this particular agent at Russel Baldwin & Bright.

Excellent service from the team in Llandrindod Wells. I sold my house within days. The team particularly Richard and Lucy were knowledgeable, professional and helpful. At the same time they balanced this with an approachable and friendly manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them whether you are buying or selling. Thank you Stuart Gibbs

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Lovely people work here! Good pricing too. Always go here!

Probably the best charity shop in town. Always a bargain to be had.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

The Lakeside Restaurant

Princes Ave, Llandrindod Wells LD1 5HU, UK – 01597 825679

What can I say this is a beautiful spot to stop while we was travelling to Trecco Bay. The sun was out which made it perfect for a pit stop with the family. Had a little walk to the cafe that sits in front the pool with ducks, swans and guess. I would recommend this to anyone passing through to stop here and enjoy a quiet break with a stunning view over the pool.

Good food, well prepared and served. There is a carvery on Sunday. The view of the lake is very good, especially from the tables near the windows. Friendly staff.
